Description : 1xCO2 experiment, parallel to piControl, forced over the ocean by the same method and with the same surface net heat flux perturbation field as in faf-heat, except that within part of the North Atlantic ocean the perturbation is zero.The faf-heat protocol imposes surface net heat flux anomalies over the ocean, calculated from the ensemble mean of the CMIP5 1pctCO2 simulations at the time of CO2 doubling. faf-heat requires a passive tracer. The faf-heat protocol imposes pre-industrial atmospheric conditions. faf-heat branches from the piControl at the same point as the 1pctCO2 experiment.
