MIP Variable : expsi

Deflate: NetCDF compression parameter :

Deflate Level: NetCDF compression parameter :

Shuffle: NetCDF compression parameter :

Indicative priority for this parameter, which is over-ruled by the requestVar priority setting, but provides a reference for organisation of the CMORvariables : 2

Data value type, e.g. float or double : real

Modeling Realm : ocnBgchem

CMOR Directive Positive : down

Link to MIP table record : Emon

The MIP table : Emon

Provenance : C4MIP [C_Ocean_T2]

Processing Notes : Those who wish to record vertical velocities and vertical fluxes on ocean half-levels may do so. If using CMOR3 you will be required to specify artificial bounds (e.g. located at full model levels) to avoid an error exit.

Provenance Note :

Frequency of Time Steps to be Archived : mon

Row index of entry in source sheet : 47

Description : In accordance with common usage in geophysical disciplines, "flux" implies per unit area, called "flux density" in physics. 'Sinking' is the gravitational settling of particulate matter suspended in a liquid. A sinking flux is positive downwards and is calculated relative to the movement of the surrounding fluid.

Request variable (carrying priority and link to group) : expsi ((isd.006))
